The Eagle has Landed! Envomed 80 arrives for installation at Finland’s largest hospital

The Eagle has landed! We are delighted to announce that our Envomed 80 on-site sustainable medical waste treatment solution has arrived in Helsinki to be installed at HUSLAB- the largest hospital in Finland.

About HUS

HUS, formally the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa, is made up of five hospital areas: Helsinki University Hospital, Hyvinkää, Lohja, Porvoo, and Västra Nyland. HUS is the largest health care provider and the second-largest employer in Finland.

Some specialist medical care services are provided across hospital district boundaries, being based on the specific catchment areas of university hospitals. The Helsinki University Hospital Specific Catchment Area includes not only HUS itself but also the South Karelia, Kymenlaakso, and Päijät-Häme Hospital Districts.

HUS manages the most demanding specialist medical care in the country. They have nationwide responsibility to provide centralized care for many rare and severe diseases.
